“Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. Isaiah 32:9

Wake UP! Get UP! Shake the Dust Off of You!  Arise! And Shine!

Today, as I write this devotional I compelled by the sense that it is now time to challenge the women of God to a renewed commitment to the call to intercessory prayer.   The WUIPNetwork™ was established in 1990 with the command from God to “Sound the alarm in Zion, and call for the mourning women that they might come…” (Joel 2; Jeremiah)  Today, I believe God is calling for His intercessors to be REAWAKENED TO THE CALL TO PRAY AND TO SEEKING HIS FACE.  There are many things occurring today, (locally, nationally, & globally) that, I believe, might not be to the extent, or with the intensity and duration that they are occurring, if we remain faithful to the call to intercede. Notwithstanding, GOD IS SOVEREIGN AND HIS DIVINE PURPOSES WILL COME FORTH!  But, He has given us certain PRIVILEGES IN PRAYER:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  (2Chronicles 7:14)

I was deeply moved by the confirmation I received from Bro. Glenn Kennedy (Tennessee Intercessor) confirming what God was saying to me through Isaiah 32:9

I have included it as an attachment for this first devotional of 2010.  I invite you to read and save his attached document for future inspiration. It will be a valuable resource of encouragement as we continue faithfully in prayer & intercession.
